Misconceptions on Real Vampires

There are many misconceptions out there on what Real Vampires are. Some believe vampires are a re-animated corpse. While other's believe if you pop a pair of fangs in your mouth, that automatically makes you a real vampire. When it comes to Real Vampires, none of the these are true. Real Vampires are like anyone else. However, they have a metaphysical condition where they need more energy than the average human being.

Through out this article we will be debunking some of the latest misinformation that has popped up on the net and in the media.

While some will argue that the information provided here is not the full picture or true. Some of those people may have a need to draw attention to themselves, to feel special, something more than just a human with an energy deficiency. All people take in energy. So in some ways, everyone could be labeled as Vampire. However the individual who has a need to take in this energy more often for their health and well being are what we refer to as Real Vampires.

Misconception number one: Pranic Vampires are sexual vampires.
By definition the word prana means: "Life giving energy". The subtle energy or life-force, akin to Chi or Mana, which is found within all living things. Prana is a Hindu term, strongly associated with the breath as well as life. It permeates each individual as well as the Universe at all levels. It acts as physical energy, mental energy, where the mind gathers information; and as intellectual energy, where information is examined and filtered. Prana also acts as sexual energy, spiritual energy and cosmic energy. All that vibrates in this Universe is prana: heat, light, gravity, magnetism, vigor, power, vitality, electricity, life and spirit are all forms of prana. It is the cosmic personality, potent in all beings and non-beings.

The definition above when putting it into the context of a real vampire, simply means the source the vampire feeds from. Pranic vampires are not just sexual vampires. Pranic is just another (interchangeable) term used for Psychic (Psi, Psy) Vampires. Which leads to misconception number 2.

Misconception number two: Sexual Vampires While feeding during sex may be the preferred way of feeding for some. That does not mean a "Sexual Vampire" cannot feed from other forms of energy. My argument is this, if a person can feed from sexual energy, why can't they feed any other way through psychic means? The individual who claims they cannot feed any other way, is either a sexual deviant looking for an excuse and using the term, Vampire to appeal to his/her next liaison. Or simply trying to shock others. Let's face it, in myth and Hollywood, the vampire has always been portrayed as a sexual being, ever since Lugosi put on that cape, this has been the underlying (or in some instances the main) focus in Hollywood of the vampire. Also, there's one last thing I would like to bring up, because some prefer sexual energy, this does mean this is a preferred way to feed for all. Not all vampires are part of the BDSM community or go to clubs looking to feed on sexual energy. As one of my friends put it best: "Sexually exploiting others for their energy is nothing short of metaphysical prostitution. Your just taking energy as payment versus cash."

Misconception number three: "Vampires have special powers that make them aware of who is and is not a safe donor": On a recent news program that aired here in the States on a national TV station, an individual was interviewed and claimed that she doesn't worry about diseases; "I'm very picky about my donors. Some people go for medical testing. I find that too expensive. I just use my own perceptions and I'm never wrong." To be very frank here, anyone who thinks this way, might as well grab a hypodermic needle that is infected with AIDS and puncture their skin with it because this is what they are risking every time they feed from blood without taking proper precautions and testing for diseases. There is no human being on the face of the earth that can make these perceptions and be accurate. You are putting yourself and the donor at risk for fatal diseases. Many diseases! Eventually this type of thinking and behavior will catch up with someone and by the time it does, if they have had multiple donors, there are great chances the donors will be infected with diseases as well. This is highly unethical and just plain ignorant.

Misconception number four: "It's okay to cut someone and then feed from the wound using your mouth.":
This is a very dangerous misconception. Biting or putting your mouth on a open wound is putting the person who is feeding and the donor in serious health risks. The human mouth carries so many forms of bacteria and disease. Brushing your teeth or using mouth wash will not make a difference at all. Not only that, a human bite is very painful and will leave permanent scars. Here's some information on human bites:

There are many other misconceptions out there. I just focused on what was presented in a recent news TV program that aired here in the States. What can you do to stop this misinformation? Educate yourself and educate those around you.
