If one were to lift up the proverbial rug of the vampire community to view what
has been swept under it they could not possibly miss Enablers. Enabling is a term
often found in the areas of drug and alcohol abuse but it also present in mental
health issues and various other things that are considered problems. An Enabler
is someone who downplays a serious problem or issue instead of confronting it.
Overview of Enabling

There are many misconceptions out there on what Real Vampires are. Some believe vampires are a re-animated corpse. While other's believe if you pop a pair of fangs in your mouth, that automatically makes you a real vampire. When it comes to Real Vampires, none of the these are true. Real Vampires are like anyone else. However, they have a metaphysical condition where they need more energy than the average human being.
Through out this article we will be debunking some of the latest misinformation that has popped up on the net and in the media.
While some will argue that the information provided here is not the full picture or true. Some of those people may have a need to draw attention to themselves, to feel special, something more than just a human with an energy deficiency. All people take in energy. So in some ways, everyone could be labeled as Vampire. However the individual who has a need to take in this energy more often for their health and well being are what we refer to as Real Vampires.

What it's Like...
Lately it seems this is the most popular question... "What it's like?"
I never quite know how to answer this. It is such a broad question... I wonder,
does she mean the hunger? Does he mean the day to day life? What does he/she
know, or think she knows, about what I am? When someone comes to me (online)
and asks I usually never quite know what they are expecting. Do they expect
me to be gothic in fashion, talk with a transylvanian lisp and walk the streets
of my home town at night searching for my next victim? Or do they know what
it's really like...

We were all hoping that the V5 virus hoax was done and over with years ago.
However, it seems some individuals just refuse to put this hoax to rest. Since this is a topic that seems to rear its ugly head from time to time, my good friend, Larae of Darkness Embraced, dug up this article from the web archives. Since the V-5 (K-17) hoax has re-emerged recently, I thought I would include it here on Nocturnal Voices Society, maybe this will help debunk this madness.
Welcome to the ONLY website, that gives the facts about the V-5 Virus.
First of all, to those who don't know or have never heard of this virus, a
brief background. V-5 (though it is known by several names including Code V,
Code 5, K-17, G-17, Stem Alpha and so on) is a virus that several websites claim
to be the truth behind real vampirism.
Well, I hate to burst peoples bubble on this subject, but this virus is a HOAX.
How do I know? Well, read on to uncover the truth and the facts about this so
called virus. And find out why I know so much, and happen to be a so called
expert on this subject.

This is probably the most popular question ever asked of the Vampire Community. In all honesty, it’s also one of the most complex questions to answer even from the most experienced vampire’s stand point.
